Join the Monterey Peninsula Flycasters! Come join the flyfishing people of the Monterey Peninsula. We are interesting in the fine art of fly fishing, fly tying, sportsmanship, and the conservation of our beautiful aquatic environment. We encourage the practice of “Catch and Release”. We are always looking for new members. The more the better. This is a great club. You’ll meet all kinds of people and get exposed to a wealth of knowledge from friendly people who love to share their love for this wonderful sport. It doesn’t matter if you have never fly fished before. To us, this is even more exciting. It’s wonderful to see the excitement of people new to the sport. It’s very rewarding for everyone involved. So please, come to a meeting and see for yourself what a great group of people there are in the club. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are, male or female. In fact, women usually tend to learn to cast faster than men as they aren’t trying to overpower the rod like most men do... :) We have several regularly scheduled ‘fishouts’ each year, and with more members we could have even more of these fun filled trips.
